Obstacles to progress

                                                                                                   Realities

export some abroad to make more profit. Now the northern communities in Ghana remain the

poorest in the country with no better jobs and no opportunities at all in most parts. “

World Bank & IMF relationship with Africa and Africans

(In a ‘boss-centric’ relationship, the ‘boss’ simply tells people what to do. Ie he has the larger

‘say’ in any decisions. In a ‘subordinate-centric’ relationship, the ‘boss’ consults other people
                  and decisions are made jointly.)

Many African countries feel that their relationship with World Bank & IMF is ‘boss-centric’
and that these Bretton Wood Institutions have to go through their own ‘structural

adjustment’ in order to be capable of a more ‘subordinate centric’ approach to economic

            development in Africa.
