Tom Poynder, WRB Underwriting
Tom Poynder is a Senior Underwriter at W/R/B Underwriting, where he joined the
Property Programmes team in 2023 to lead the Transportation product focusing on
APD/MTC/DOL & GKLL coverages.

He has extensive experience in underwriting Transportation business, primarily in
North America on both a delegated programme basis and also a prior submit
brokerage basis.
Before his current role, Tom worked with a Large Lloyd's syndicates and before that,
a leading specialist syndicate at Lloyd's.

Tom holds the ACII qualification from the Chartered Institute of Insurers and
graduated with a first-class honours degree in Business Management and Data
Analytics from the University of Swansea.

Elie Hanna, AXA XL
Elie Hanna is the Chief Distribution Officer, UK & Lloyd's market at AXA XL. He is
responsible for leading AXAXL’s go-to market strategy including broker, client and
coverholder management in addition to marketing, alternative distribution, Middle
Market and Global programs and Captives.
In 2016, he joined AXA, where he worked as Global Head of Mid-Market and Broker
Engagement. Most recently, Elie was the Global Head of Broker Management at AXA
XL, responsible for managing the division’s strategic broker relationships for the
insurance segment.
Prior to joining the AXA Group, Elie spent more than a decade at AIG in
underwriting, country management and distribution leadership roles across Europe,
Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Elie holds an MBA from Cass Business School, City University London and
a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and Insurance from Notre Dame University.

Kevin Donovan, Ascot
Kevin joined Ascot in 2004 having previously spent just over 10 years at Cigna /ACE
(now Chubb). Kevin has been involved in Property insurance for the last 19 years
and has managed the Property Binder portfolio during that tenure. He earned the
designation of Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) in 2009.
