John Barrows, Lockton Re
John joined Lockton Re in 2013 from Guy Carpenter; he has over 30 years of experience in reinsurance
(Facultative/Treaty Underwriting), Alternative Risk (Captives) and MGA/Program business. His primary
expertise is in the Casualty Lines in addition to Professional Liability, WC and Specialty Lines. John works
with traditional and fronting arrangements for MGAs/MGUs involving the reinsurance placement all lines
of business.
John Speckman, BMS Re
John Speckman, President of BMS Re/ProLink Solutions, joined BMS Re in 2019 and serves as a member of
the US Executive Leadership Team. He began his career in 1997 at SOREMA North America, then worked as
an underwriter at Gen Re. Later roles included Director at Aon Re, EVP at Atlas General, and SVP at JLT Re,
specializing in MGA programs and Workers Compensation. John holds CPCU, RPLU, ARe, ASLI, AU, and ARM
designations.
