joyed having her. Dad was buried in the family plot in the Salt Lake
Cemetery. Dad was a wonderful husband and father and the debt I owe
him for his help, kindness and love are beyond my ability to express.
I had the strangest feeling for several days after Dad died. Noth-
ing before or since has been like it. Have you ever sensed someone
else in the room where you are, yet you had not yet heard or seen them?
I seemed to sense Dads presence. At one point I even walked outside
the house and into the backyard wondering if I would feel anything dif-
ferent there. I shall never know, of course, but I think my Dads spirit
was present. We had loved and respected one another so much. It would
have been typical of him for his spirit to want to say goodbye to me be-
fore it became part of the heavenly world.
Soon our workweek was reduced to 44 hours we had Satur-

Not long after we moved, June and Willard Ellis bought a house
a few blocks away. Jean and June developed a good friendship. Jean
got a kick out of the fact that June could improvise at almost anytime.
We had sold our car before leaving Salt Lake so we now had none. June
