in their cancer center are still amazed that I’m alive. They’ve said at
        Stanford that I’m one of the longest-lived patients they’ve ever had on
        this deal. The PSA has twice gone up, and then gone down, and it’s up
        some, so they still wonder what in the world is going on. There were
        other operations, but I see no need to dwell on them. Overall, from my
        retirement from the city council in November 1991 onward, we have
        had a satisfactory retirement life. Family trips and reunions have been
        the source of endless good memories to Jean and me. Don’t fail to do
        them and don’t wait for retirement to do them!
