Approved Consumables List
Jenbacher occasionally changes what types of sealants, cleaners etc. may be used. Consult the
Technical Services Department prior to starting work to ensure the correct consumables are on site.

Lubrication of Engine Parts
• Only fresh engine oil from the approved oil technical instruction may be used for
lubricating engine parts for assembly/installation.

O-Ring Dressing
• Fresh Engine oil only

Cylinder Linder Landing Sealants
• Loctite High Temp Red RTV for Type 2 to Type 4; P/N 59430
• Loctite 510 for Type 6 E and F; P/N 66335
• Perfect Seal No. 4 or Dirko Transparent for Type 624; P/N 34227Q02

Intercooler Sealants

• Curil T. Note: It only needs to apply to one mating surface; P/N 284071
• Hylomar (if Curil T) is unavailable. Note: It must be applied to both mating surfaces.;
P/N 5096512

Anti-Seize Compound
• Only Nickel based anti-seize is approved; P/N 403221

Loctite Thread Locker

• Medium strength Loctite 242 (blue) can be used on parts not in contact with oil; P/N
242
• Medium strength Loctite 243 (blue) can ONLY be used on parts in contact with oil;

• High strength Loctite 262/272 (red); P/N 403224-10

• High strength Loctite 620 (green); P/N 62015

Pipe Thread Sealant
• Teflon Tape, PTFE white for water pipe threads; P/N 5X584
