• Completely install the side covers.

                       Alignment

                              • Only properly trained technicians should perform alignments, training is required on
both specific equipment as well as individual tool being used.

                              • Do not perform the alignment until all fluids have been added to the engine.
                              • Note to properly align Jenbacher engines both Jenbacher work instruction and

documents on specific coupling being used are required.
                              • The alignment results need to be downloaded from the laser tool and attached to
                                 the Overhaul Data Sheet.

Completion of Overhaul and Engine Start-Up

                                 Removing LOTO’s
                              • Reconnect the starter batteries.
                              • All personnel must follow the PENN Power and customer LOTO procedures to

                                 remove all locks.
                              • Open all water valves, oil valves and gas valves.

                           Preparing the Engine for Start-Up

                              • Turn on the jacket water block heaters. The jacket water loop must be to
temperature before starting the engine for the first time.
                              • Run the pre-lubrication oil pumps, if applicable and check for oil leaks.
                              • Verify that everything on the engine looks good, all tools are put away, all guards are
in place and all personnel are clear of the engine.

                              • By this point the Overhaul Data Sheet has all engine information and pictures added,
except for the engine readings, that must be verified and approved by the lead
technician and the Technical Services Department BEFORE the engine is started.
