At this point, cold or rough alignment is complete, engine should be started and ran at full load for 8 to 24 hours or
until operational temperature has been stable for > 4 hours. Step 2 accounts for hot alignment check and
adjustments for thermal growth if required.

        Hot Alignment Check

Hot alignment checks are required to confirm and validate rough alignment, this is also required to account for systems
        individual thermal growth.

               Rubber Rail Inspection

Because rubber rails can settle rapidly a quick check and measurement should be taken during hot alignment
any deviations from original values noted and concerns brought to management. Reference Rubber Rail
               measurement form for details.

               Set up for Hot Alignment

The purpose of the hot alignment is to validate cold alignment as well as adjusting to thermal growth. The more
care taken during the cold alignment the better the hot alignment will come out.

Before shutting down engine perform the following

                          • Prepare all tooling, verify all tooling is operational and ready to use
                          • Turn off any air handlers or ventilation not required for engine operation.
