Deciding My Path After Grade 13
hen I entered Grade 13, I was 16 years old. At that time, I’d have to decide what to do with my life. I don’t recall
Wthinking about it too much; it just seemed to evolve naturally. University seemed like an implied next step—there
wasn’t much doubt about that. In Ontario back then, there were only four major universities to consider: Western, Toronto,
Queens, and Ottawa. McMaster was small, more of a community university at the time, and Ottawa was bilingual, which
wasn’t my preference. So, my choices narrowed to Western, Toronto, and Queens.
