High School Days

igh school was an odd experience for me. I started at age 12, younger than many of my classmates. The girls seemed
Hso much more mature than the boys—it was almost like they were worlds ahead. I was just a kid among adults,
navigating an entirely new environment. The contrast was stark, but those early years shaped my perspective. When I look

at my high school yearbooks, I can still remember many of my classmates. Indeed, several of us still get together. Since we

spent all day at school and another hour or so on buses we really bonded. This is why six of us ended up forming the top
secret “TUTBWS” club in February 1954.
