Safe Water, Thanks to Dad
ne thing my dad took seriously was ensuring our water was safe. With his training in hygiene and his public health
Odegree, he regularly tested our water, shipping samples to Toronto to ensure it was clean. We didn’t drink water drawn
directly from the lake, even then. My dad’s diligence was ahead of its time, and to this day, we’re mindful of water safety
when staying at the cottage.
