In the bottom frame you can see that Roskilde Approach (APP) has a frequency
of 125.525 MHz. Roskilde TOWER (TWR) has 2 frequencies and also the
emergency frequency of 121.500, which is constantly monitored by Roskilde.
ATIS is a frequency where the latest MET REPORT is continuously transmitted.
This has the advantage that TWR and APP do not have to constantly brief the
arriving aircrafts about wind and weather and take up time on the frequency for
that; the pilot is supposed to monitor ATIS before contacting Roskilde APP or
TWR.
In your first contact with Roskilde you have to mention the letter of ATIS and the
current Transition Level.
Roskilde Handling is listed at the bottom of the list of frequencies. This is the
airport office that you can reach on this frequency. The airport office is providing
assistance with flight plans and marshaling services if that is needed.
3.3 Frequencies
Now you have seen how easy it is to find “telephone numbers
of the air” or frequencies as they are called.
The frequencies start at 118.000 MHz. Since 2021, it has been
a requirement that there is 8.33 KHz channel spacing
between the frequencies.
But since there are only 3 decimal places on aircraft radio
displays, we cannot always set the frequency correctly.
On the list here you can see which channel corresponds to
which frequency. And this continues up to and including
136.990 MHz.
