Page 30 - Radiooperatør - BEG-2024
P. 30
- You must not SQUAWK IDENT unless you have been asked to
- You must have the transponder in SBY until you take off, and after landing
it must be in SBY or GND mode so that it does not disturb other devices
- You must always have the transponder switched on during flight, and if it
has Mode C (altitude read out), this must also be activated.
- Use possibly the Flight Time function to show how long your flight has
lasted
- SQUAWK VFR is code 7000
- Distress is 7700
- Radio error is 7600
- Illegal act (hijacking) is 7500
Wow, we must have put
7500 on the transponder
However, we didn't; the picture is from an exercise where the Police Home Guard
was allowed to pretend that there was a need to protect people in the plane.
Be careful not to set one of the above mentioned codes by mistake.
Back to the flight.
South of Sjørup we leave Karup CTR and
we are out of controlled airspace.
We are still in the Karup LTA (Local Traffic
Area) and can get flight information about
other traffic.
