             They saw the Holy Spirit splitting into a tongue of fire.
               John the Baptist possessed the correct understanding of the

             “fire like the Holy Spirit.” That is why he himself expressed
             his baptism as the “water baptism,” whereas the baptism of

             Jesus was expressed as the “Baptism of the Holy Spirit.” It is
             more surprising that a ‘baptism of fire’ was mentioned with

             the ‘baptism of the Holy Spirit.”


               “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will
             come one who is more power-ful than I, whose sandals I am

             not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and
             with fire.” (Matthew 3:11)


               As we all know, John the Baptist only baptized in water.

             Through the water baptism, an atonement of sins was carried
             out, but, there were many who had not received the baptism

             of the Holy Spirit. That is why the Apostle Paul laid his
             hands on people of Ephesus for the baptism of the Holy

             Spirit.


               “and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when
             you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even
