resurrection of the dead, and eternal judg-ment.” (Heb 6:1 -2)

The author of Hebrews knew the things that mattered the

most in living out the life of faith. That is why the author
clearly states to do away with elementary teaching about

Christ and to focus on things that are important. Let’s look
closer into the things that matter more. Aren’t they truly more

             important?
Does the word ‘laying on of hands’ come into your sight?

As is, the early church placed ‘laying on of hands’ in a high
priority. This is not only important in the early church era.

This is al-so critical within the church today and cannot be
             dismissed from our Christian life.

In the time of the Old Testament, ‘laying on of hands’
was crucial. All the animals brought to the tabernacle as an

offering were to have the hands laid on. This acted as an
‘imparting of the sin’. It is only right that a sinner be burned

up on the altar of burnt offerings, but God designated that
an animal be burned in place of a human being, that the sins

might be atoned for. During this process, the ‘imparting of
sins’ was conducted through the laying on of hands.

In order to ordain the tabernacle priests, Moses performed
a laying on of hands. This was no simple laying on of hands.
