If the disciples of Jesus drove out the demons and healed
the sick, we can also do this. Why do you think you can’t do

this? Are you not a disciple of Jesus? All those who profess
Jesus are disciples of Jesus.

The reason behind the single mentioning of the 70 disciples
in Luke 10 is because the person who needs to deliver the

Good news is you and I. If you look at Luke 10:2, “He told
them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask

the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into
his harvest field.” Yes, this is true. The calling of 70 disciples

by Jesus was to have them ask for people who will work.
And among these ‘workers of the harvest’ are you and I.

That is why Jesus calls everyone who believes in him to be a
disciple, thus imparting the authori-ty mentioned below:

“And these signs will accompany those who believe： In

my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new
tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when

they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they
will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

(Mark 16:17-18).
