Combat Kick Boxing


          Backhand Slash: Medium Range
          Situation Three: Your  assailant
          throws a backhand slash at your neck.
          1) Move in quickly and parry the
             attack at the elbow and wrist.

          2) Throw a hard front kick to his
             lower abdomen. (Fig. 160)
          3) Hold the elbow firmly and snap
             down on the wrist, twisting the
             blade back across his face.*                 Fig 159

          *The elbow snap and twist is very
          effective and turns your assailant’s
          weapon back on him. Practise this
          disarm until it is second nature.
