directly ahead and turn your right palm so it is outward, the thumb
down, and twist your left hand toward the front. Take your left
foot up to toe-in near your right foot as your right palm twists to
face up and your left twists under your right elbow until your left
palm is up. Then, swing leftward with your left hand gradually
pointing into the center. Following the Hawk Posture, what you
have done is to make a Single Change to again walk the circle. This
posture is from Sun's book and resembles his Bear Posture, the
only difference being that in the Bear Posture you thrust forward
with your left palm on a straight (rather than a rising) line, above
(instead of below) the right arm, and your body is more bowed than
in the Hawk Posture (Fig. 407). The function of these postures
needs no explanation.
