Proposed Day-by-Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival to Barcelona. Upon arrival to Barcelona’s El Prat International Airport, meet
one of our local drivers for a private Mercedes transfer 35 min to your accommodations at the
five-star Hotel Casa Fuster in L’Eixample, the Catalan capital’s most elegant district, which
features some of the finest examples of turn-of-the-twentieth-century architecture you will find
in any city. After dropping your luggage and freshening up, your Barcelona guide will meet you
at Casta Fuster to commence a 3-hr private tour, to include a panoramic driving tour of
Barcelona and a historical walking tour of the old quarters, including the Gothic Quarter and El
Born. From Casa Fuster, you will proceed to the old quarters that emanate from the Barcelona
waterfront. This private tour will include a historical overview of the Roman, Jewish and Spanish
histories of these ancient quarters. You will see Roman ruins, fine medieval churches, such as the
Santa Maria del Mar and the city’s cathedral, as well as out-of-the-way gothic alleys and palaces.
You also might wish to stop off at one of several gourmet shops such as Bubo, which creates
exquisite designer pastries. Your guide will be sure to lead you through the outstanding Mercato
