4. BEST PRACTICES

1. The University Research and Development Services has an approved Manual of Operations which
serves

as a guide for the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and utilization or research results/outputs.
2. Technology transfer and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
Institutional mechanisms for technology transfer of mature technologies developed by the University are promoted
through the establishment of technology ownership and intellectual property right regimes for the protection of the
creative works of scientists and researchers in the University.

3. Regular conduct of Agency In-House Review
An integral component of the Monitoring & Evaluation of ongoing and terminated researches is the regular conduct of
R&D Agency In-House Review (AIHR) by the University. The AIHR is done in coordination with the pre-AIHR
reviews of the different ISU campuses and clusters.

4. Capability Building
Developing and further enhancing the R&D workforce through participation in conferences, seminars and workshops.
