Each Tuesday he meets his deputy directors and workshop supervisors
and engineers. At these meetings strategies were discussed. He also had
further private meetings and conversations and brainstorming sessions
especially at weekends. All of these actions when combined with an
openness and honesty in communication created a general feeling
through all levels of the enterprise of being well informed.
