Page 18 - Case Lab Case Method
P. 18
To this end the case method requires the practice of
managerial skills such as:
• diagnosing,
• making decisions,
• observing,
• listening, and
• persuading
while preparing for case discussion, presentation or course
work submission.
The Faecal Recognition case study is a simple case study in
that it does not contain a plethora of detail but, what it does
contain is the ability for everyone to associate with the case
content and have an opinion upon what management
decided to do and what customers require of the business
offering.
Even if there is not great length to the case study there is
nevertheless, tremendous depth which allows useful and
productive discussion to develop.
The following teaching note lays out some of the areas that
are likely to emerge from any discussion of the case study.
