Internal Environment
A firm’s internal environment is, as has been shown above,
controlled by management. It comprises the existing or
accessible resources at the call of management. These
resources broadly comprise financial, human and physical
resources which are available to management at a given
period in time. In order to assess the quantity and quality of
these resources a company profile is usually built to help
assess the inherent strengths and weaknesses of the
organisation in terms of its resources, its management, and
its organisational structure. This is a dynamic process which
compares the current situation with future capabilities.
