The Case
A case study charts what happened to a business over a
number of years. It shows what management did in
response to the environment and changes therein.
Cases are useful for a variety of reasons.
First, cases provide a snap shot of the company, its history,
actions and problems.
Second, cases allow the application of theory to practice as a
means of helping to explain what is going on and to arrive at
potential solutions to organisational issues.
Third, case studies provide the opportunity to bring
experiential learning to bare.
