NGOs  need  to  work  in  a  harmonious  and

                                    unanimous  manner  to  ensure  the  smooth


                                    running  of  the  tourism  system.  Literature

                                    shows a high correlation between profitability


                                    generated in tourism business and preservation

                                    of  the  environment  of  the  region  where


                                    tourism  activities  occur  (Borzino,  1999  cited

                                    in  Battaglia  et  al.,  2012).  A  look  at  the


                                    ‗contemporary  tourists‘  shows  that  the

                                    ‗tourists are ecologically aware and especially


                                    interested in experiencing the atmosphere and

                                    becoming  familiar  with  the  identity  of  the

                                    destination.‘       Selection        of     the     tourist


                                    destination  is  primarily  influenced  by

                                    resources  like  landscape,  ecology,  traditional


                                    architecture,  cultural  tradition  and  climate

                                    (Gracan,  Zadel  and  Rudancic-Lugaric,  2011).


                                    Thus  the  atmosphere  is  responsible  for

                                    attracting  the  tourists  to  the  destination  and


                                    harming  it  would  be  similar  to  killing  the

                                    goose  that  lays  the  golden  eggs.  Tourism


                                    businesses is therefore a part of the ‗coherent

                                    regional  offering‘    and  needs  to  function  in

                                    and sustain the regional offering.
