* PARTNERSHIPS:


                                    partnerships  in  the  context  of  tourism  is

                                    referred as ―cooperative promotions and other


                                    cooperative  marketing  efforts  by  hospitality

                                    and  travel  organizations.‖  Partnership  should

                                    be  analyzed  together  with  Programming  and


                                    Packaging.  It  is  useful  in  managing  the  foot-

                                    prints,  which  can  be  due  to  ecological  or


                                    socio-cultural  factors.  Partnership  is  essential

                                    because it helps in bringing together different


                                    entities  of  the  value  chain.  All  different

                                    entities  working  together  will  generate


                                    revenues for the all service providing entities

                                    involved and hence will account for economic


                                    sustainability. Otherwise, these entities may be

                                    sidelined  on  occasions  when  separate,  and

                                    hence  may  not  find  the  individual  businesses


                                    flourishing.  One  of  the  key  areas  of  co-

                                    operation  among  the  partners  is  the


                                    promotions  in  the  form  of  co-operative

                                    advertising  which  otherwise  would  be  very


                                    costly.
