                                    Safety,  security  and  wellbeing  of  tourists  are


                                    also concerns that have to be addressed. There

                                    need  to  be  partnerships  between  various


                                    stakeholders.  The  governance  and  legislative

                                    frameworks          need      to     be      looked       at


                                    appropriately.

                                    Sustainable tourism is tourism that minimizes


                                    the  costs  and  maximizes  the  benefits  of

                                    tourism  for  natural  environments  and  local


                                    communities,  and  can  be  carried  out

                                    indefinitely without harming the resources on


                                    which it depends.

                                    Tourism is one of the largest global industries,


                                    with  much  of  the  growing  market  focused

                                    around  pristine  natural  environments  such  as


                                    coastal and marine protected areas. MPAs are

                                    increasingly  attracting  interest  from  foreign


                                    visitors, as well as local residents. Tourism can

                                    benefit local communities and MPAs through

                                    revenue        generation         and       employment.


                                    However,  tourism  can  also  threaten  MPA

                                    resources  by  destroying  habitat,  disturbing


                                    wildlife, impacting water quality, and threaten

                                    communities by over-development, crowding,
