The workshop leader, Dr. Goodheart had

founded the International College of Applied

Kinesiology, and was demonstrating that
tapping on acupuncture points brought

great results for allergy sufferers.

During that same period, Dr. Callahan was

seeing a patient, Mary, who was suffering
from an extreme water phobia. He had been

working with her, with disappointing results.

As far as Mary knew, she had faced that

water phobia for as long as she could

remember. She thought she had been born
with it. She had seen many therapists and

psychologists over the years before

becoming Dr. Callahan' patient. She could
not even watch a movie with a large body of

water without going into a panic.
