Civic
This category includes Municipal Centers, City Halls, Village Halls, Township buildings,
County Administration buildings, Public Works structures, targeted Libraries and other
miscellaneous projects which do not fall into the below specialized markets. While the
concept of “Municipal Architect” is uncommon with Municipalities, we would still strive to
build long term relationships with quality clients and encourage referrals. Building on our
impressive resume of Village Hall projects, continued success in the municipal market will
entail winning and designing other high-profile projects, especially City/Village Hall
buildings.

Public Safety
Fire
This specialized category includes all building types (Fire Stations, Administrative
Buildings, Training Centers, etc.) which service the Fire District and Department client.
We have a solid reputation in this market, and are striving to become THE Fire Service
design firm of choice in Illinois, Missouri and beyond, servicing quality, repeat clients.
We would desire to develop long term relationships and/or become the “District
Architect” for our quality clients.

Police
With our in-house Police expertise our current goal is to specifically target and win
significant police facilities to increase FGM’s visibility and brand recognition in the
market. As this market is a significant specialty, and due to our project experience and
resume, FGM will strive to expand our geographic reach for police design in a
structured manner, continuing our southern region’s expertise and targeting regional
and national opportunities, as a police design consultant, that match our criteria of
approximately $10 MIL cost of construction, strong partner opportunities, and limited
local competition.

We anticipate consolidation projects, regional training centers, joint dispatch, and
specialty public safety projects like the IFSI Building and Training Facility, Illinois
Firefighter Memorial, and Addison Consolidated Dispatch Facility especially desirable
to elevate FGM’s perception among our police and fire clients.

Recreation
This category encompasses project types which service Park District and Recreation
Department clients, such as recreation / community centers, aquatic facilities, golf
clubhouses, maintenance facilities and other miscellaneous building types and parks.
Development of long term relationships with recreation agencies and winning/designing
significant projects for quality, repeat clients in this category will define our success in this
sub-market. We would desire to develop long term relationships and/or become the
“District Architect” for our quality clients.

Federal
FGM has taken a reactionary stance to all Federal solicitations since February 2015. Within
the past year our trusted design-build partners have actively been requesting our
participation on their submittals and, as such, we currently have many opportunities for
Federal work pending for the upcoming fiscal year. We may have to change the name of
the Municipal Practice to Governmental Practice!
