rooms are provided. This facility replaces an immediate need on their maintenance campus.

East Side Fire Protection District
North Belt Fire Station Renovation

FGM worked with the East Side Fire Protection District to completely renovate their existing
volunteer North Belt Road Fire Station. In desperate need of exterior improvements and interior
finish upgrades, FGM provided a new $623,000 plan with small entry and bathroom addition
which allowed space for a kitchen expansion. This modern feel achieved in the station, along
with necessary kitchen and bath improvements created a station the volunteers want to inhabit.

City of Edwardsville
Satellite Fire Station

The City of Edwardsville hired FGM to design a new Satellite Fire Station on the Southern Illinois
University Edwardsville Campus. The 8,300 SF building provides fire service to a growing college
community. While providing an external architectural expression that complements the existing
campus buildings, the satellite station houses several apparatus in the bays, bunk rooms and a
day room for the firefighters. The station was constructed for just under $2,900,000.
