FGM was hired to redesign the Glen Carbon Police Department’s PSAP (Public Safety Answering
Point), which has outgrown its space. The $340,000 expansion of the space is a multi-jurisdictional
effort with several local agencies to accommodate Madison County’s PSAP consolidation effort.
Expanding dispatch to four stations, providing new dispatch equipment, restroom and a bullet
resistant glass protected lobby enhancing face-to-face contact with the public in the lobby
were accomplished with this project.

FGM was fortunate to build a strong relationship with the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Protection District
with the addition and renovation to their Fire Station No 1. The District recognized the need to
renovate and bring their other fire stations up to the standard that was created at Fire Station No
1. We designed and bid the additions and renovations to Fire Stations No 2 and No 3 together,
to maximize efficiency and economy for the District.

Fire Station No 2 (Machesney Park, IL) was a fire station that already exhibited an addition when
originally converted from a volunteer to staffed operation. The new addition supplied proper
Apparatus Bay support spaces and modern residential accommodations for the firefighters.
