DECADE: 1970s
I was in my 30's in the1970's, and enthusiastically participated in the music, art, and
hectic vibe of the time. I am a multi-media artist, and choose the media to match my
idea.
Hot Pants Shopping Bag is a double-sided piece made from a crumpled grocery bag,
embellished with red crayon, written events from the 70's, cut-outs, hand-drawn hippies,
lace, felt and sequins. My ex-mother-in-law gave me a pair of red hot pants and I hated
them. The marriage failed and I gave away the hot pants.
