Art is an invitation to see the world in a new way. I use both digital and traditional
surface design, and quilting techniques to share my vision of my life as an artist.
Currently, I am interested in the ways that abstract expressionism and post
expressionism changed our ways of looking at art and how the painters in the 1950s
through 1970s worked to dismantle traditional rules of composition.
2020 evokes that year with visual references to Black Lives Matter, the Rio Grande
border and, of course, Covid-19.
