Step Five:

While the white tempera is still damp, use a graphite
pencil to scratch marks into the paint to add texture
and randomness.

Let the paint dry completely.

Step Six:

Select some letter stamps or “grunge mark” stamps and
add them to the composition.

Ink the stamps irregularly to get the effect of distressed
lettering.
