Millennium Magic Chorus

What a crazy world we have been
living in these past several
months! Like all of you, we have
continued to persevere. Millennium
Magic is enjoying our 2020 reign as
your International Division A
champions...which will be the
longest reign in history, due to end
now being in St Louis, 2021!

But seriously, we have so missed
each other and all of you. We had a
fabulous time at our virtual contest
and we loved all the chorus and
quartet submissions. Region 1 and
our RMT led the pack with
innovative in our creative contest!

Here at “home” we have had some zoom rehearsal time...reviewing rep, learning a couple of new songs,
and planning when we can get together again. A few of us took a hike and could not resist a few hugs -
but we came prepared using plastic sheeting to distance ourselves and keep safe.

We gained a member during this time. We tried zoom auditioning but that just didn’t work well for us,
so a few of us gathered in our rehearsal parking lot, auditioned, and welcomed Annette Bliss into the
MM family. So happy to have her! Of course, while we were together, we could not resist singing a
couple other songs too!

One of our “Russell” members is now an “Alfano”. Our Kirsten got married on the day she had planned
in a small, intimate gathering in Maine. She and hubby Lewie hope to have a grand celebration and
ceremony once this pandemic is over.

If you aren’t on Facebook, you may not know our very talented Angie Kunasek has undertaken the
challenge of recording the Classic Tags book (plus others) doing individual parts and full mix. Check
out her YouTube channel—so good!

This has been a trying time for sure, but in the words of one of our rep songs, “...we’re coming
through... nothing can stop us ...”. Sweet Adelines are resilient, and maybe a little stubborn... we will
sing together again, and oh how the chords will ring!!
