Now let’s talk about our Colors of Harmony Weekend! This is going be the label for all of our Fall
Regional Weekends. The plan is to make this weekend in the fall, our weekend of diversity and youth!
Yes, we are going to build the our YWIH program so that it is involved in both our Regional Weekends.
And we are going to create some plans to start a program that will invite diversity to our Region. There
are some thoughts on the table, none I’m ready to share yet. We are living in the virtual world so we are
limited with the things we can do…but we can start building them.

This summer we have had some great educational opportunities with Amanda Pitts, Jennifer Cooke, Jan
Carley, Becki Hine and Nikki Blackmer. I hope you have enjoyed them. This Colors of Harmony
weekend will have classes with Britt-Helene Bonnedahl (transportation fees were a steal!). And then there
are the other classes by OUR OWN International Faculty: Corinna Garriock, Janie Tamarkin, Heidi
       Zacchera, DebraLynn and Gail Jencik.

Jessie Caynon-Oslan and Corinna will help us navigate the new song assessment tool kit from SAI and
Voce is your teaching quartet for our new regional song: THE FIGHT SONG! And, of course our
FAMOUS EMCEES for the Region 1 Virtual Pizza Party– Sally, Beth and Julie!

I would like to thank Beth Paul and Lala Carey for moderating the Zoom classes this summer. They have
done a wonderful job. You have seen a number of volunteer Tech Moderators and Chat Monitors this
Regional weekend! And a special thanks to Kate Bonci who orchestrated the whole magilla! She put all
       these Zoom blocks to work!

It does indeed take a village and I appreciate everyone who has volunteered and helped.

       SO…

Now you have a job to do. Come to regional! – I need feedback. I have a strong feeling the Winter
Regional Weekend may be virtual as well. I have some ideas for classes but the success of this region
depends on your input, so I need to know what you liked and didn’t like about this weekend. I will be
sending survey with some questions for you or, if you prefer, you can send your feedback to me or
       anyone on my EC team.

       Pandemic be damned,
