Makes 1 baked Alaska
“He could not immediately forego his wild heritage and his memories of the Wild. There
were days when he crept to the edge of the forest and stood and listened to something
calling him far and away.”
This easy take on traditional baked Alaska skips a step by replacing the cake layer with
graham cracker.
INGREDIENTS
12 graham crackers
4 cups chocolate ice cream, softened to spreading consistency
2 cups marshmallow fluff
8 pasteurized egg whites, room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1½ teaspoons cream of tartar
¼ teaspoon salt
2¼ cups powdered sugar
¼ cup mini marshmallows
¼ cup graham cracker pieces
¼ cup milk chocolate chunks

INSTRUCTIONS
1 Line a 5” x 9” loaf pan with plastic wrap, making sure the wrap
extends well over the sides.
2 Make a single layer of 4 graham crackers in the bottom of the pan,
trimming to fit if necessary. Add 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream and
spread into an even layer. Add 1 cup marshmallow fluff and spread
into an even layer. Add another layer of graham crackers.
