Designed for the locking/positioning of camshafts. Kit also contains tools to pre-
tension the timing chain tensioner and to support the engine. An indispensable tool
set when replacing a timing chain or performing an engine repair.

Applicable to BMW 1.8 and 2.0 TwinCam (DOHC) petrol engines as fitted to:
BMW 1 Series (E87), 3 Series (E46/E90/E91), 5 Series (E60 / E61), X1 (E84), X3
(E83) and Z4 (E85).

This tool set is used for the locking/positioning of engine shafts such as camshafts
and crankshaft as well as for the alignment of the VANOS Adjustment Unit.
It is required when replacing a timing chain, for the removal and replacement of
camshafts and VANOS Adjustment Units, and for engine repairs.
