6.1 Collecting data


               7  Ahmad wanted to know how often people in his village go swimming.
                  He decided to carry out a survey. This is what he wrote.


                      The population of my village is 238.
                      I interviewed a sample of 15 people and recorded their answers on this data
                      collection sheet.

               8  Oditi wanted to know how many pets the people in her village own.
                  She decided to carry out a survey. This is what she wrote.

                       The population of my village is 576, so I interviewed a sample of 60 people.
                       I recorded their answers on the data collection sheet below.
