6. Discuss changes they have noticed.
7. Some things have changed, but the pattern of hard work and then a holiday
or a rest is still a good one to follow.
8. Let the children complete the worksheet or write about a special holiday
they have had.
Learning for Life (Fulfilment)
1. The children will appreciate that God wants to bless us with holidays, after times of
hard work.
2. The children should recognise the changes which have occurred in the way in which
we spend our holidays eg choice of destination, mode of transport there, type of
activity undertaken, beach and leisure clothes, leisure equipment, etc.

Truth to Teach (Source)
Ephesians 2:10 ‘For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good
works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’
¾ God’s plan is for his children to do good works.
¾ One, with God’s help, can make a difference for good in the world.
Way to Work (Means)
1. The title of this project has been ‘Changing World, Unchanging God’.
We have been discovering that while some things change through time, some other
things remain the same. Create two lists with the children of things that have
changed and things which never change.
2. Ask the children for examples of things which have been changing during the last
hundred years, eg clothes, houses, furniture, transport, toys, machines, food.
