Y4 Summer Term Overview

5. Review the Y3 teaching on putting commas in lists, eg

January, February, March and April are months of the year.

Remind them that a comma is not needed before ‘and’ when

writing lists.

6. Some teachers may wish to set work to specifically address

weaknesses. Others may prefer to give the children the

worksheet.

Learning for Life (Fulfilment)

1. The children will have been reminded of past teaching on

punctuation.

2. Common mistakes made by the class should have been addressed.
