Child 1: “My family came here two weeks ago. We are just getting to know people. Have you always
lived here?”
Child 2: “Yes, I was born in the house we are in now. What sort of things do you like doing at the
weekends?”
Child 1: “I love swimming and playing games on the computer. What about you?”
Child 2: “We have a park near us and I like going down there but if it’s raining I’ve got lots of toys.”
Child 1: “Do you go to church?”
Child 2: “Yes, my family go to ……………………………… - it’s good, why don’t you come?”
Child 1: “I’ll tell my Mum and Dad about it as we are looking for a church to go to because my family
are Christians.”
Child 2: “So are mine. I guess that’s why we are at this Christian school.”
Child 1: “Do you like this school?”
Child 2: “Yes, I do because we learn more about Jesus, we can pray about all kinds of things and
people try to be kind to one another. Sometimes we aren’t but we quickly say sorry to one another.”
Child 1: “I think I will like it here. Will you help me to make friends?”
Child 2: “Yes, of course, I’ll be your first one!”
