the end of the sentence.

Use the same sentences but add a clause to each one. REMEMBER – CCTV!

Use two different coloured pencil crayons and a ruler to underline the phrases and clauses
in these sentences.
1. The boy staggered home, exhausted from hunger.
2. At the window the moon appeared.
3. The broken toy lay on the floor where it had been smashed.
4. The police car stopped with a screech of brakes.
5. Please shut the gate to keep the animals in.
6. In the morning we went swimming.
Extend these sentences with a clause.
1. Blind Bartimaeus called Jesus _________________________________________________
2. _____________________________________________ so we went into the city.
