        Write in the missing semi-colons.
        1.  The girls were encouraged to finish their work   however, some did not do it.

        2.  The business man sent emails to Joe in France Sam in Belgium Heidi in Austria and to me.

        3.  Some people can speak other languages   some cannot.

        4.  ‘Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise   his greatness no-one can fathom.’


        5.  ‘Your statutes are wonderful   therefore I will obey them.’

        Write in the missing colons and other punctuation signs which are needed in these sentences.
        1.  The chef said that you need   flour   salt   margarine   milk and eggs.

        2.  Learn this Being proud is not allowed.


        3.  His reason for leaving   exhaustion.

        4.  ‘Remember this Whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly.’

        5.  The hockey scores had just been published the teams had won.
