 God’s creativity is seen in men and women who have enhanced our lives by
                    inventing useful things.

 Factories and machines changed the way people worked in Victorian times.

 The transport system underwent great changes in the Victorian age.

            Way to Work (Means)

                1. Review previous lessons.

                2. Show pictures of the Crystal Palace and talk about Prince Albert’s idea of the
Great Exhibition to show the achievements of the Victorian age. The main hall
contained the latest farming and industrial technology. The hall was 19 metres
high and nearly 100,000 exhibits were on show. The building itself was

                    designed by Joseph Paxton.

                3. The exhibits were divided into four sections: -

                               Raw materials
                               Machinery
                               Manufactured goods
                               Fine arts

The exhibition was opened by Prince Albert and Queen Victoria in 1851.

                4. Talk about the God-given gifts and talents in all of us. We are made in the

                    image of a creative God.

5 The children could complete the worksheet showing inventions after the first
                    lesson.
