Compare them with toys the children play with today.
5. Contrast a trip to the seaside in Victorian times with one today. Show pictures
from books and read accounts of Victorian trips to the seaside (see separate
sheet).

6. The children may like to write a story contrasting seaside holidays then and
now in an English lesson.
They could fill in the leisure pursuits on the first worksheet and/or try the
questions on the second one.
