P. 16
7. The children could either write an account of the missionary’s visit and/or complete
the worksheet.
Learning for Life (Fulfilment)
1. The children should realise the differences between Biblical and modern transport
and communication in spreading the Gospel.
2. They should realise the privilege and the cost in responding to Jesus’ call to share
the Gospel in other nations.
CONCERN FOR A NATION
Truth to Teach (Source)
Acts 1:8 ‘You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria and
to the ends of the earth.’
1 Corinthians 3:5b God wants us to express the love of Jesus to the nations as he
assigns to each his task.
Isaiah 56:7 ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.’
We express our concern for the nations by sending practical aid, people and by
praying.
Way to Work (Means)
Before this lesson, decide on a nation which could be the focus of this lesson. With the help
of parents, conduct a fund-raising activity eg a cake stall, a plant sale, a cards sale or write
letters to a missionary in that country.
1. Review the previous lessons.
2. Inform the children of the nation, showing its position on a map, the capital city,
population, famous landmarks, needs of the nation, etc.
3. Explain that we are going to love and serve that nation today by either of the above
activities.
