Marketing
Ginefsaga's marketing department was responsible for managing the company image through social
media along with promoting sales. Additionally, the department was also responsible for managing
the company website and improve the overall customer experience when purchasing the pieces.
Ginefsaga's target market are people, ages 18 and up, who wanted to
bring a unique flavor of Guam into their homes. The pieces depicted
the majestic ocean and beach sceneries found all around Guam.
Ginefsaga's team wanted to use this mental image as a representation
of the island for those who wanted a representation of Guam in their
home.
Each of Ginefsaga's decorative wood pieces are handcrafted, meaning
that they each have their own distinct design and their own unique
taste of Guam. We initially thought that since we are going through
times as tough as these, we would need a reminder of the beaches
that we have not been able to go on for several months. These pieces
can be used as home decoration, serving platters, and cutting boards.
Ginefsaga's logo depicts a tropical beach featuring palm trees, which was
later used to create the wood pieces, which create a serene environment.
Ginefsaga wanted to have a recognizable logo and name which is why
this design was created.
We decided to price the products at a competitive price of $25 and $35 for the smaller flametree
and coconut wood boards, and the ironwood boards respectively. We decided this price because
we are the only company on Guam that produces these boards on a large scale. Many other
companies or artists online sell similar products for upwards of $50. Therefore, by using local
materials, hand-making all products, and being a JA company, we decided to offer the public a
product that is affordable, practical, and meaningful.
