Following are subheadings you can use when developing an event bid proposal.
                  • Introduction.
                  • Details of the proposed event.
                  • Club/federation and community infrastructure (can we host the event?).
                  • Facilities required to host the event (are the facilities in our community up to the
                    required standard?).
                  • Local community support.
                  • Expected government support.
                  • Event budget.
                  • Sponsorship issues.
                  • Conclusion.

                           Activity 5.4

                  • Please read the event bid proposal at Appendix 2.
                  • If you were the Australian Touch Association, would you select the NSW Touch
Association to host the National Touch League? Why or why not?

                  Event administration and coordination
Once you have won the right to host the event, you need to start thinking about
the administration of the event. There are a lot of things to manage including
identifying human, physical and financial resources.

                  Human resources
In event planning, the number and type of human resources (people) needed
depends on the strategies used to achieve the event’s objectives. For example, if
customer service is the focus of an event, more people will be needed.
