Event staff (paid or volunteer) should:
                  •  be carefully chosen using specific criteria
                  •  receive training
                  •  be given some direction and support
                  •  be shown how their efforts will impact on the success of the event
                  •  be motivated to achieve the goals set for them
                  •  be appreciated and rewarded.
